A Class of Risk Processes with Delayed Claims: Ruin Probability Estimates under Heavy Tail Conditions

We consider a class of risk processes with delayed claims, andwe provide ruin probability estimates under heavy tail conditions on the claim size distribution.

Ruin Probabilities and Aggregrate Claims Distributions for Shot Noise Cox Processes

We consider a risk process Rt where the claim arrival process is a superposition of a homogeneous Poisson process and a Cox process with a Poisson shot noise intensity process, capturing the effect of sudden increases of the claim intensity due to external events. The distribution of the aggregate claim size is investigated under these assumptions. For both light-tailed and heavy-tailed claim s...

Ruin probabilities under general investments and heavy-tailed claims

In this paper we study the asymptotic decay of finite time ruin probabilities for an insurance company that faces heavy-tailed claims, uses predictable investment strategies and makes investments in risky assets whose prices evolve according to quite general semimartingales. We show that the ruin problem corresponds to determining hitting probabilities for the solution to a randomly perturbed s...

Uniform asymptotic estimates for ruin probabilities of renewal risk models with exponential Lvy process investment returns and dependent claims

This paper investigates the ruin probabilities of a renewal risk model with stochastic investment returns and dependent claim sizes. The investment is described as a portfolio of one risk-free asset and one risky asset whose price process is an exponential Lévy process. The claim sizes are assumed to follow a one-sided linear process with independent and identically distributed step sizes. When...

Extension of Some Classical Results on Ruin Probability to Delayed Renewal Model

Embrechts and Veraverbeke investigated the renewal risk model and gave a tail equivalence relationship of the ruin probabilities ψ(x) under the assumption that the claim size is heavy-tailed, which is regarded as a classical result in the context of extremal value theory. In this note we extend this result to the delayed renewal risk model.
